Live Facial Recognition Operation Hatton Garden EC1

Good morning,

Yesterday, Thursday 16th October 2025 your local ward officers took part in a Live Facial recognition operation at Hatton Garden EC1. Cameras were used to scan passers by and biometrics data from each face is compared against a ‘watchlist’ of outstanding suspects to detect wanted offenders.

As a result of the operation, we successfully arrested 4 outstanding suspects for offences such as Stalking, Threats to kill, Robbery, Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) and other miscellaneous offences.
